What is it?

Forensic Engineering is any study or investigation of a material, product, or structure thats failure leads to personal injury or property damage. Engineering Specialists Inc provides a wealth of services that allow either insurance companies or individuals determine whether or not an accident was the result of a component failure. The investigation, sometimes referred to as a failure analysis, is our way of discovering if the resulting damage was caused by a product or structural failure.

ESI can perform Forensic Investigations accurately and confidentaly because of the wide variety of techniques available to us. Using everything from fractography, fatigue studies, and reverse engineering, Engineering Specialists Inc assures its customers that the conclusion given will be the correct one. The basic types of investigations we do are forensic analysis of failure, fire investigations, cause and origin, root cause analysis, and mechanical failure analysis.

A lot of forensic engineering investigations are conducted either alongside a civil law case, or as a result of a particular incident. Due to this, it is not uncommon for a Forensic Engineer to be called upon to testify in court as an expert witness.
